1. Customer specifications and expected volume are predetermined.
2. Initial design and cost agreement are determined.
3. Mold design, development cost, and production cost are determined with projected time line.
4. Mold is built.
5. Sample parts are molded.
6. Quality specifications are developed.
7. Sample parts are sent to customer for approval.
8. Tool and Dye maker completes final adjustments to mold (if any).
9. Mold is ready for production.
