Our Plastic Containers

Specialty Container, Inc. Plant

Commercial Ink Containers
Specialty Container manufactures a large variety of wide mouth injection molded plastic containers, plastic lids, and towel dispensing lids.

All plastic containers are molded in a clean environment using the latest technology and machinery.

All plastics and colors used in our FDA Plastic Containers are molded from virgin prime material

Specialty Container’s injection molding process provides a stronger more ridged plastic container, with more accurate controllable dimensions, and less paneling or “potato chipping” with higher chemical resistant properties.

A brief overview of quality procedures:

FDA Plastic Containers

All material used in our FDA Plastic Containers meet all requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as specified in 21 CFR 177.1520 and with most international regulations concerning the use of Polyethylene in contact with food articles.

Injection molding has faster cycle times than blow molding providing less machine time and less cost per part.

Our injection molded plastic containers have a special mold design and molding procedures to relieve internal structural stress and to increase product compatibility and shelf life.

Specialty Container plastic lid design assures a tight fit that grips the can securely even when dropped. Our "impact resistant cans" for the industrial ink industry, withstand drops from five to seven feet onto concrete, even when filled with ink.

The ultraviolet (UV) inks used in our offset printing process are bright, colorful, scuff resistant, and highly resistant to a wide variety of product formulas.

From raw-material, injection molding, and decorating, each step is subjected to multiple strict quality management standards and ANSI standards using industrial standard protocol.

Color is automatically mixed with plastic during the injection molding process using in-line mixers to assure consistent color through out the production run.

Our ink colors are carefully blended by weight from primary colors, special colors and opacifiers. After blending, colors are matched against PMS color standards for color and intensity.

Our offset lithography printing provides razor sharp images with more brilliant colors than the silk screening printing process. We print up to 6 colors simultaneously at speeds of up to 200 labels per minute.

In mold labeling provides state of the art full color labels, with almost an unlimited number of colors.
